Need I say more? The Leftists (leftovers rather) are dictating the Congress party in each and every issue. I think this kind of a setup is more suited for them rather than they themself coming to mainstream. Just don't budge to anything and if the other (coalition) partner doesn't agree, well..you have the a good weapon in your armoury "We will mobilise people and protest".
